Portrait Drawing in Pencil with Audrey Parker

Fall Session (6 Weeks)
Mondays, 6-9pm in the East Gallery $20 per session

We will explore traditional portraiture through pencil drawing. This class will demystify the portrait drawing process by simplifying facial features into basic shapes, learning proportions, skeletal and muscular anatomy, and practicing blending and shading techniques. We will be drawing from reference photos and from life.Over the six class sessions, student artists will create several drawings, receiving feedback and instruction throughout the class. Student artists are encouraged to bring in a photo reference that they would like to work from. This class is suitable for artists new to drawing in pencils and portrait drawing.
