Call for Artists & Private Events

The Carnegie Art Center (CAC) is the perfect place to host an art exhibition, special event, workshop, concert or performance!

Our Space: 

CAC is located at 240 Goundry Street in the historical district of North Tonawanda. Our gallery space is comprised of over 2,000 square feet being split between the larger Rotunda North Gallery, and the side East Gallery.

Built in 1904, the CAC space consists of original furnishings from when it was a Library for the city of North Tonawanda including the original stained-glass skylight in the lobby, wooden desks, plaster columns and more. The space features high ceilings, clean gallery walls and a proficient hanging system for artwork.

We can also provide pedestals and lighting. The CAC staff is available to assist you with all aspects of your exhibition or event. CAC is open 4 days a week in addition to special events.

The building has brand new bathrooms and is ADA accessible. CAC can provide a certain amount of tables and chairs for renters. Additional tables, chairs and decor can be rented from our list of local vendors.

ARTISTS & ART GROUPS: 

We are currently accepting proposals for exhibitions for October 2024 and our 2025 schedule.

We are also accepting proposals for artistic workshops, concerts, DIY events and other educational opportunities year round. 

To submit artwork or class information for review by the Carnegie Art Carnegie staff, please email the following to [email protected]: 

  • A short letter of intent with a project proposal.
  • 1-3 digital images as jpeg or pdf attachments or link to images on a website. 
  • Any relevant social media or a website

There is no deadline for submission, and proposals are accepted on an ongoing basis. The CAC will provide a cash bar at your reception, volunteer & staff to install your show among other services.

Private Events:  

The CAC is also available for private events such as weddings, bridal showers, meetings and much more.

Per the guidelines set by the State, we can currently host events with up to 50 people.

Renters can use our gallery spaces and additional office space for their special event. Renters should set up a meeting with CAC staff to discuss the details and sign a contract. Renters must use our caterer and we can provide a list of other rental vendors as well.
